About Susannah
I didn’t learn about pain and grief from a book. When my father died unexpectedly in 2012, I was walloped, physically and emotionally, and stunned by how little support there was for what grief does to the body. My mother’s death in 2017, after years of dementia, deepened that knowing.
Out of that loss, I founded Yoga for Your Grieving Heart in 2014, a program exploring how mindful movement and compassionate presence can support people through grief. For over a decade, I’ve led these groups, sitting with hundreds of people in some of the hardest seasons of their lives.
I’ve also lived with chronic pain, through years of searching for answers while being treated as a set of symptoms, rarely heard and rarely seen. What finally helped was learning to listen to my own body. It’s why I listen to every client as a whole person.
I know this terrain from the inside. That’s why I’m not here to fix you, but to walk beside you.
How I work
My work rests on a simple idea: healing happens in the union of breath with body, mind with body, and self with heart. I bring together hypnosis, breath, and body-based practices, all grounded in nervous-system science, to help people unwind long-held patterns and find their way back to ease.

My Big Goal
My big goal is a world where people in pain, grief, or fear don’t also have to feel alone, broken, or ashamed. I can’t take away all suffering, but I can help keep it from growing louder than it needs to be, so there’s room again for the rest of your life.
